About

Claire Dickson is a Boston-based jazz, pop, and R&B vocalist and composer. She is currently performing original music with her own group, singing with the band Foxpack, and collaborating with Young Bull, Compaq Big Band, and other Boston and New York based musicians.

Claire has received numerous jazz awards including eight Downbeat Student Music Awards, YoungArts Finalist (2014), Fidelity Young Artists Competition at the Boston Pops Grand Prize Winner (2014), Grammy Jazz Session participant (2015), Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Competition Finalist (2014), United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts (2015), Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition Top 40 (2015), and participant at the Banff Jazz Workshop (2016). This recognition has led her to performances at venues like Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall, and The Kennedy Center.


Claire's love for music runs in the family. She's the daughter of Glenn Dickson, clarinetist/bandleader for the internationally renowned klezmer band Shirim and avant-klezmer band Naftule's Dream.
